Flying UA in E class (MIA-EWR-TLV) with DW and 2 kids. Debating between Aegean where I have 20K miles already and miles don’t expire or Aeroplan where I can open a family account but has a very short expiration and I don’t travel that often.

can you credit a united economy flight to turkish miles? trying to credit and keep getting error message that you cannot credit this fare class to turkish miles i don't think it is a website glitch because I tried crediting on different days.

Taking an Alaska flight. Will get at least double the miles with AS, but I have status with AA. Is there any way to get status benefits, but still credit to AS?

ETA: got my answer
(If you want the bags, but want miles to be credited elsewhere, you need to put alaska on reservation before checkin, then switch at the gate
Just not sure if it should be changed at the first flight or the second.

Airline: El Al
From: JFK
To: TLV
Fare Class booked in: H
From: TLV
To: JFK
Fare Class booked in: L

Booked as a round trip with one ticket number for both directions.
https://www.wheretocredit.com/el-al-israel-airlines/l only shows Alaska and Qantas. Is American AAdvantage or JetBlue TrueBlue not an option? El Al did not appear in the drop down list of airlines on the form https://www.aa.com/forms/request-flight-miles/#/long. Is that because it's not possible, or because there is some other way that the miles have to be requested?

Unless there’s a chance you’re going to get Delta Medallion status if you credit to Delta, Virgin gets more  points and better value (they literally have lower prices on Delta flights than Delta, though availability can be wonky)

Is there anyway to credit an AA ticket operated by LY to BA?
It was on the AA reservation but no way to select it at check in. I tried a retro claim on BA but didn’t get any response for a few weeks already.

IINM you can credit anywhere and get the same 0, as X class doesn't earn anything.

An X fare is a saver economy award, the only value would be if booked with UA to credit to UA and earn PQP and PQF but the RDM is still 0

I have had this issue at least twice. I credited Delta flights to Delta Skymiles. (My Delta number was attached to the reservation so that I could get a free checked bag.) After the flight, I tried to get Flying Blue miles instead. Flying Blue could not help until I called Delta and got them to remove the miles that were already awarded. I then had to get the account statement from Delta showing the miles were no longer there and present that to Flying Blue. This statement I got from Delta, instead of showing that miles were awarded and then rescinded, showed no record of the flight at all. Delta also would not give me a letter that they removed the miles. Therefore, to bolster my case the second time this happened, I saved the statement before and after the miles were reversed.
