Rav Dovid Feinstein says his father would not be matir it, and hold it is not permitted, though the Star-K holds that it's OK. Some hold that you shlouldn't shave with the braun microscreen pressing into your skin, but it varies from rav to rav. But it's either assur, or muttar out of the box with no necessary tampering depending on your rav's p'sak.
