Business and First Class Products Master Thread
« on: July 09, 2014, 08:53:34 PM »
I think this would be a good place for people to ask questions about and review specific airline products.

I'll start.

Flying LX J from MIA-ZRH-TLV. Equipment is A330 and A340. 2 adults, 1 toddler and an infant, 3 seats total.

Where would be the best location on the plane for us to sit that would provide the most privacy and allow us to be as close together as possible?

From the seatmap, it looks like there are 2 rows (4,5) ahead of the forward galley that looks removed from the rest of the cabin and looks less staggered than other rows in the cabin. I'm inclined to take it.

Anyone with experience with this aircraft with some input?

I have this reservation on hold. is it worth 80K united miles considering the second leg is fake business?
(seat guru says they simply leave the middle economy seat empty)

I had that choice yesterday. didnt do it. For that amount you can almost have a r/t in economy.

Seatguru is correct. You need to decide whether the 80k is worth it.
I would do it for the overnight in Austrian business class, which is great. Depends on the size of your UA/UR stash.

Not sure about the A340, but on the A330 row 4 would be your best bet. Take 2 middle and a window. Really, your only options are row 4 or 6 since they are the only seats with a bassinet (LX will make you sit there, IME)

@KidOOO, it really depends your value on miles, money etc, but if your other option is coach for 42.5 I would pay the extra 37.5k to have business for the main leg.

Im flying ElAl flight#29 business tlv-yyz on a 767-300 (763). Is their angle-flat seats any good? Seatguru says its a 170 degree pitch, ElAl says its only 150 degree.

You mean 70k. I would book business class NY-Europe on Brussels or LOT with Aeroplan for 45k miles and . And use 30k AA miles for ElAl business class Europe-TLV.

Also the advantage of having the solo seat in 4A is that you'll have where to put your feet in when you're in flat bed position. All other solo seats come with uncomfortable tiny cubbies for the feet.

Thanks guys, row 4 it is.

Looks like it's reserved for Hon and Sen. I guess I'll have to call to get it assigned.

I flew this plane yesterday just came back today in the morning.
I sat in 4K I AM NOT A HON,my first time in business but if you want a single seat it will be better to take an A because on the left side of the plane every single seat has behind him 2 seats so there's much more room,on the right side of the plane there's only single seats strait down.
If you need a double seat take 2 in middle, because on the left side A and C have less room and the window doesn't have access to the aisle and you will have to jump over.

BTW I took a fish meal form tlv-zrh,it was a delicious pieces of salmon, the ones who took chicken didn't really enjoy.

No fuel for Brussels and ElAl. With LOT it will be a bit more expensive.
