In case anyone wants to know:

LH YQ surcharge (YQ)  €191.00 (FRA - JFK)

LH YQ surcharge (YQ)  $428.00 (JFK - FRA)

Basically only book LH F to the US so you can 1. Use the FCT 2. Pay less  ;)

Departing TLV via FRA/MUC, it lowers the YQ to $182 (€167).

If booking with AC and the leg from TLV to FRA/MUC is with TK, A3, LX (with another stop though...)(which AC doesn't charge YQ on), than the YQ will go down even more, I paid recently ~126.00 in YQ for the following route in F: TLV-ATH-MUC-YUL.
Also if you do a open jaw, that would bring down the YQ as well.

So what would be a better option to fly on F to FRA SQ? Also high YQ, booking with United for 110k? This is still the best option.

FYI, its alot cheaper to book LH F ex TLV via SQ (75k) then to save $200 in YQ and book with AC (115k)

You're absolutely right, but I was traveling with a child & SQ wanted ~$1000 for the infant vs $125 that AC was asking so I decided to spend the extra miles to save the $$$.
Also ex TLV is not ~$200, it's more like ~$450.

Why not take LH ex FRA all the way to California or at least Chiacgo ?
Is that 747 seperate bed worth for only 7 hours ?

Yes, only 57k miles and lower YQ than LH.

If you are traveling with an infant AC is a blessing.

Not seeing the 747-400 to SFO or to LAX, only 747-8 or a380.

Am i crazy for not liking the EK F seat that much? I didn't like how in bed mode the leg part just drops off and your feet just float around. I prefer the seat to "boxed in".

More like my feet, but still was not the greatest for me. Not knocking the whole product, but I'm sure for a taller person, it can be uncomfortable. We need SF to comment on this, and if he hasn't flown it, get him to fly it.
