After only flying Y, and J class, I just flew F for the first time, on LH A330. I can't say how this compares to other F cabins, bec. I haven't try them yet, but I really enjoyed my flight, and just wanted to thank everybody here that's helped me make this a reality.

Nice! LH F is definitely a great start for the F cabins.

I think it depends on the model. 789  and 788 v2 seem to be lie flat, while 788 v1 doesn't. I remember looking into a KIX-LAX flight that's on the 788 v1 and not lie flat.

Anyway to know for sure when looking at a flight for June? Will EF show the exact flight scheduled for that flight or is it too far out?

EF will show it, but I've booked flights 8 months out that had equipment changes.

I realize I may get stoned for asking this...

I need to fly TLV-NYC in a few months, and LH F seems like a great choice. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I'm really curious how much being in F over J adds when you consider that you won't be getting first class food? Especially since I can book a RT in LX J for 105k LH vs 85k for the OW F.. Both will be very comfortable flights, and while LH F looks very nice, it just doesn't seem to have the same "WOW" factor that products like CX or EY have. Part of me wants to be economical and take the round trip (I will also be flying with a lap infant, which I feel goes over better in J rather than F), but then I can't do something exciting for the way back home (I'm hoping CX will have started their HKG-TLV A350 flight by then) when I have someone else flying with my daughter.

True, though I find that for int'l tickets there's a lot less changes than domestic ones. 5 minutes here and here, but that's about it IME.

Does the flight you are looking at have PE for sale? According to Seat Guru, the two versions of the 787 with PE are fully flat and the one without is angle.

Anyone flown SA A346 J? I know it's nothing compared to QR J, but just thinking of CPT-JNB-GRU on SA J then GRU-LAX on AA 787 J.

Kind of. I read that already, but it's a few years old.

The service, or maybe a refresh to the hard product.
