I couldn't make heads or tails of what you're asking...
Oh, ok. Basically I need to get from AUH-LAX. I can take A380 J to JFK then AA LGA-XXX-LAX or Jetihad F and then AA F JFK-LAX A321T. My question was would the connection details make a difference in choosing the EY product.

AUH-LAX F nonstop on EY not available? That's better than Jetihad.

Actually it was available in J, but it's not anymore. Someone else took those seats. F isn't usually available until right before the flight.

Yes, definitely I'd take Jetihad in your case.

Thanks! Of course I can change it depending on what opens up, but this would be good to book now before the deval.

Next question: I need to get from DOH-AUH for the Jetihad flight at 10:20a. Our flight is landing in DOH at 23:50. Which of the following flights are better:

QR "F" at 00:45-02:50 making the layover in AUH 7.5 hours (if a 55 min connection is even allowed, EF seems to say 1 hour min)
EY J at 04:05-6:15 making the layover in DOH 4.25 hours then another 4 in AUH

Taking QR F would give access to the Al Safwa lounge, but it's almost irrelevant on such a short layover.
Taking EY J wouldn't give access to the Al Safwa lounge, but would also mean an overnight layover which could be tiring unless we sleep on the flight up.

If I go with EY, are there any tips for what to do during those connections?

QR J on the A350 vs the 77W?  Large enough difference that I shouldn't fly out of IAD on the 77W?

I'd also take the A350, though if you're traveling with someone it's a lot easier to talk to someone on the 77W than on the A350.

And it's a lot easier to talk to someone in Cattle Class, so maybe fly Cattle Class?

There's a greater difference between Y and J than there is between 77W J and A350 J. And that's coming from someone who actually travels with a spouse, not just friends.

This touches on something I kinda asked in another thread, but I would love to hear people's thoughts on what the best products to fly with kids. For instance, SQ R is great for couples, does it get downgraded if you're travelling with a toddler? Does QR J A350 maintain its allure when travelling with a toddler, or does its privacy ding its value?

I'm also interested to hear this (only a replies from people who have traveled with kids, @D93). It's also interesting to note that when I wanted to reserve seats on EK F when traveling with one baby they would not let us sit next to each other in the middle seats since both middle seats are bassinet seats, and you can only book 1 bassinet seat per kid. Does this make sense, or should we be able to take the middle (bassinet) seats?

How bad is Jetihad J vs F? Is it worth paying the extra 22.5k/person for F?

Google it. You realize that it is F. Would you take f over j on any one premium airline? I would say it's a definite yes.

Not too many reports of Jetihad J, just a few pictures. I assume F is way nicer either way.
