BA F 747 w a stop or LX J/UA J nonstop?
Never flew BA F, hence the question..
If you could afford the stop, then definitely take it.

+1. I'd take a stop to try a new F product, especially alone.

Need some advice here:

Flying to CNX via ICN (on KE) and using the free stopover to check out Seoul. As of now, I'm landing in ICN at 4am on a Tuesday, and leaving ICN on Wednesday at ~7pm. Went for this flight because I thought it would give me a nice amount of time in ICN and I wouldn't be rushed, but it's on their 747-8I.

Other option is to book the JFK-ICN segment on their A380, but that only gets me into ICN at 5:20pm on Tuesday, and I'd still be leaving ICN at 7pm the next day.

Is it worth going on the A380 even if my time in ICN will be shorter? I feel like if I do the A380, I won't be able to do much in ICN because I'm getting there very late in the afternoon and the next day will be partially shot because I'll have to head to the airport a few hours before flight.

Thoughts?

Do you know what you want to go in Seoul? Is the DMZ on your list? Do you value the time on the ground over the A380?

I have no idea what I want to do in Seoul. I was going to plan an itinerary later on by asking people here who have been there what they suggest I try to cover while I'm there. I would like to cover as much as I can (at least for the must dos). I'm also traveling with my kid so I won't be able to cover as much ground as others who have gone without kids. I'm trying to balance the two and figure out what will improve my overall experience.

What are the main differences between the 747 and A380? Apparently the version that I'm flying on has the same seats...

I'd just stick with the 747, unless you've never flown an A380 and have a really strong desire to do so. Can you leave NY earlier?

I've never flown an A380, but that will honestly be my second time flying F so I'm sure I'll still love it. I can't leave NY earlier. Day before is Tisha Bav.

Do you have the option of flying an A380 on the way back?

How can I know 100% that the F on the 747 that I'm booked on is the same as the F on an A380? The 747 that I'm on has 3 rows (2 seats each row).

Isn't there an A380 flight that also gets in around 4 AM from JFK? Check out the free transit tour options in ICN. That is what I did wife my wife and kid.

The 747-8 has the new kosmo suites 2.0 which is actually a better seat than the a380.

I thought the A380 also has the Kosmos Seat.
