Though I admittedly traveled alone, I personally think that the two nose seats on the 748, 1A and 1K are preferred given the curvature of the nose (though they are further apart from each other than 3D and 3G) and not being in the middle of the cabin. I have no experience on the A380

I agree with that assessment. You get the best actual seat experience and are in the nose and are closer to 1K then row 2 is.

Do a dummy booking on you desired flight and it will allow you to choose seats before entering payment. If J is 1-2-1 it is new business class
