I've done the 757 dozens of times but never the 777.

So I booked the 2 class 777 and they just changed the plane to the 3 class 777.

But my assigned seat is in first class now.

I had my best sleep ever on a plane in CX F...however I've never flown QF.

I flew CX F JFK-YVR 4 years ago, and LAX-SYD QF F this year, QF was excellent, slept for over half the flight straight. Can't remember the CX one very well, though the flight time of only 5.5 hrs vs 14.5 hrs, definitely make it harder to get good sleep.

Also, IIRC, you haven't even flown QF F A380! How are you comparing CX F to QF A380 F without having sampled both?

Actually, I think JFK>YVR is timed horrendously for using the bed.

Where did you specify A380 until now?
Regardless, all of the comparison TRs I've read say CX F beats QF A380F.

99% of people say CX F seat and bed is better. Really in a league of its own as far as comfort.
Doesn't have fawning FAs, showers, doors, BYOK, etc.
But in the end of the day it's about the seat and bed comfort IMHO. Great PJs round out the product.

Only 6 first class seats on Cathay as opposed to 14 on Qantas.
It's a world of difference.
