The thing I don't get is why CX F service is getting so much hate! Admittedly I only flew them once and the only F I have to compare them to is LH but I felt they were fantastic.

I think - especially when having flown them only once -that it can be hit or miss sometimes and no general conclusions should be made.

Mine was nothing special tbh and all other flights I have been on were superior to CX F (soft product) but I won't draw too drastic of conclusions

based on a single flight with them when they consistently get awards for outstanding service.

Generally, and this is talked about everywhere (and I find it to be true) that CX FAs will stay out of your way until you need something, but when you do, they're there in a flash, whereas with, for example, SQ and OZ, they hover and constantly "fawn" over you to make sure your needs are met before you have them.

Personally, I prefer the latter.

Its because SQ and EY FAs are required to be well versed in Telepathy. It is the only way I can explain how they know my very next thought and request, EVERY TIME!

I found it to be true as well but I don't think it took away from the experience. When I pushed the call button, it wasn't even three seconds until the fa was there. I was shocked. Anytime I stood up, they were also there to see if I needed anything. If I was just sitting down and watching my movie, they didn't bother me. I'm pretty low maintenance so I prefer that to being asked every 30 seconds if I need another sip of sprite added to my glass.

If you think SQ is bothering you every 39 seconds to fill up your glass, you don't get SQ service.

They don't bother. They anticipate your needs by monitoring the cabin discreetly. Then, when you think, "hey, I'd like more coke," the coke is brought to you before you finish the thought.

I would love to get SQ service on Sunday night but unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm going to clear. I'll have to "settle" for KE F. #firstworldproblems

So we just need a plane with:
SQ FAs and amenity kit
CX F seat/bed/PJs comfort
EK Shower
EY layout

Why do you need the CX Bed if you can have EY with its own very comfortable bed?

I haven't flown EY, but has anyone said that their bed is more comfortable than CXs?

No way.

EY's bed is to narrow.

I found it at least the same if not more comfortable as it was an actual bed (longer and better to stretch out further), very good pillows and being in 3A/4A which functioned as double-bed I was able to spread my arms out as well which is how I like to sleep.  :)

That is where the double-bed comes in very handy.

As nice and roomy as EY's bed was, CX's has more "mattress" padding making it softer (even with the mattress toppers both offer). If you like a firm mattress though EY's is arguably better. Personally I liked CX's better, though it's hard to compare CX's 3.5 hour flight to EY's 14 hour one.

You'll just have to fly on a 14 hour CX flight to know for sure :)
