Curious what's your issue with LX?

I had a horrible experience with them last year (granted, that was in Y, but it still left a bad taste). I'd rather fly someone else, considering I'm wide-open alliance- and schedule-wise.

Of course.

Nope. J (OS dosent have F)

Thanks both.

No J product is worth connecting for over AF 777 reverse herringbone.

If you can get LH F (pretty easy get if you're flex) or SQ R (very tough on that route), then I'd connect, esp if you haven't done any premium products before.
Ill second that.

No real "over the top" J products EU-US.

A quick search brings up this picture of that AF product, which looks like it may be too small for my clown feet :(:

So far the most "over the top" product I've flown was CX J in the 77W. I found the seat seriously uncomfortable, and the bed even more so.

So maybe that should be my yardstick... will LH F, OS J, and SQ R beat that?

Lol OS wouldn't be too much better in that regard.

Only J product that may work then is TK.

LH F, and SQ R by a mile.

I would say OS J is pretty similar.

Got news for you, big guy...  every single J 1-2-1 product is going to have that issue, except for SQ J bulkhead.

I'm not 9 feet tall, but at this point in my life, I'm not spending an extra 3+ hours in transit (in a crappy Y/J product) so I can avoid the footwells on an otherwise excellent J product on the non-stop.

If it's that important, you're going to pony up for F, and if so, forget SQ R, just plan to be flex and do LH F.

Issue: Solved.

OS is worse.
I found LX bulkhead throne better.

Have you tried OS Bulkhead? Definitely larger than LX, aside for being a much more comfortable seat/bed.

Yes. I have small feet and found it cramped. Not so on LX

TK is a bit too far out of the way I'm afraid.

Seems to be getting narrowed down to LH F or SQ R, especially after this:

Depending on the exact schedule of both my last day in CDG (which is not finalized at all) and the flight schedules, avoiding footwells may indeed be worth the splurge. It could be the difference between landing rested and ready for a normal day's work and not (#TallPeopleProblems).

So here's what I think - it'll come down to how crucial a good sleep will be to my schedule. Either I'll aim for AF J, or I'll go all-out for LH F (of which there is currently a ton of availability) or try for SQ R.

Does that make sense?

Price wise, AF J is not that much cheaper then LH F.

What about UA F?  Like FRA-EWR for 70k AC.  Not sure if they fly that product from CDG.

Most J bulkheads have large footwells.

SQ R or J bulkhead.
LH F.
UA F.

Best KSML will be BA F.

How about fly back via Asia on CX F or SQ R :D

LOT J has the same seats as TK, no cramped footwells, and less out of the way then IST

You make be able to pickup a LO BUD-JFK flight, depending on when you're going.

There is also Air serbia herringbone that doesnt have a cramped footwell but the seat itself might be short.

Also dont forget EK J from MXP or EK F from ATH or MXP

Ex-CO UA J 772 isn't too bad either.

Nice rundown, though keep in mind that LO and UA have a 2-2-2 config.

If I were to splurge for LH F, do I go for the A380, A340, or 747? Or are they all pretty much the same?

747>380>340
Don't forget to request KSML and Panamera in FCT and leave a long enough layover.

All the seats are the same.

747-8 has a different config.
