Just booked for my brother. Planned to book Y but turned out to be J. Is this real J or "upgraded" economy?

We just flew on LX with an infant. The only bassinet seats are 4 d&g or 6 d&g, you’ll need to call in advance to reserve them. Overall experience can be a hit or miss with the FA’s, same with the food.

So what happens if those seats are not avail? are they able to move other people in advance?

DW did a few weeks ago. IINM she was in 6A. It was an Aeroplan award redemption, and LX had a problem finding and attaching the infant ticket to the adult.

I just flew solo on LX and heeded @aygart's advice on taking a throne seat (had 6A on two flights). My experience this time was definitely better than last time I flew LX (you want some space between yourself and the aisle, or else you risk being bumped by the FA's). I discovered this time that the firmness of the seat is adjustable, resulting in more restful sleep.

Food was mostly good. And FA's naturally asked if I preferred my beverages in disposable cups.

So they gave her a business in 6A?

I think he meant bassinet.

Basinett sorry
I believe she did. Though our baby was almost too big for a bassinet.

When I was seated in 6A it seemed like they had those holes in the wall in front of me to hold a bassinet.

So I got 6D & 6G for the ZRH-JFK leg, but from TLV-ZRH the phone agent said she put my wife in 1A which she said is a bassinet seat. I asked her twice and she insisted it was row 1. isn't that first class? on LX site they show business starting from row 4 but on expert flyer they show business starting in row 1 and no first. does anyone know what this means?

Can't tell you anything specific to your flight but I do know that the ZRH-TLV flight on LX has some overlap between J and F. For example, I've had occasion where I've been able to choose a F seat at check in, even though I was paying Z fare. Also, they provide complimentary upgrades to F for Honors Club members and to anyone else, for a relatively small (in the context of the distance and Class difference) fee. So...it wouldn't shock me if they provided F to deal with the baby in tow. Of course, it could also be a different configuration w/o F so I guess you will have to let us know.

AA doesn't fly JFK to SJC.
