vienna to tlv is regular seat. even the long haul is nothing major

EWR-YYZ is a short hop at the beginning of the trip, after that you're in a proper business class seat all the way to TLV.

And while YYZ is horrific, would you rather have the connection at that point of the journey and continue in a lie flat business class seat, or would you prefer to have to go through a connection after 6-8 hours of flight, only to be put in fake J (economy seat with middle seat blocked off) for the final leg?

Disappointingly, I was on AC80 this week and it was angle flat.

I don't remember that from the last time I flew ac.

You can now buy basic economy tickets transatlantic for over $1,500 RT. What's basic about a ticket that costs over $1,500?

Very simple. You're not going to see cheaper business fares with carriers starting to offer unbundled business class tickets (business basic). You're only going to see price hikes.

AA on their website claims the flagship first lounge is closed in LAX. I was there a few weeks ago in the regular lounge and i thought the flagship was open... Any ideas?
