Depending on the plane, there's huge differences. You can't compare the 777 J to 777 F even without the shower that the A380 F offers.

Aha. Tough choice. Flying to OGG mid July and deciding if its worth the gamble of booking HA. Easier to find availability then UA.
FWIW (not much), no KSML in HA.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Good to know but wouldn't sway me if I knew I was in their new cabin.

Officially not. A person from a lower cabin cannot come to a higher cabin, but vice versa is allowed.

Maybe not officially, but I asked the F FA on JL if my friends in Y could come visit and they said, "sure!," so my friends came a stayed maybe 10 minutes.

Crew can do whatever it wants, but generally, a pax from a lower cabin cannot enter a higher cabin; perhaps the rule changes if that pax is invited or the crew allows it.

It won't be hard if the FAs are Hawaiian. They're very friendly people.

Anyone fly on BA 789 F. How is it? Better than CX J?

Of course it's better than CX J.

I feel like I'm a broken record, but--perhaps aside from very rare exceptions, like SQ A380 J > KU 777 F--there is simply no such thing as a Y cabin > J cabin, and no J cabin > F cabin, when factoring both soft and hard products.

I have very limited experience, but IMHO QR J > UA F (777)

Personally, I don't think so; it may be close, but I'd definitely take UA F > QR J.
