I have very limited experience, but IMHO QR J > UA F (777)
You gotta classify the aircraft type.
QR still has angled flat seats on their A330s

Seems like HA finished refitting their first A330, unfortunately for me it seems like its starting use on the west coast route.

I feel like I'm a broken record, there is simply no such thing as a Y cabin > J cabin, and no J cabin > F cabin, when factoring both soft and hard products.

Would you than say AA a321 F over QF b747 upper deck J for JFK to LAX?

Also is there anyway to search QF J award space on this route alone without it being connected to an Australia flight? To be clear it would be flown on the same itinerary to Australia, the QF F long haul flight to SYD has already been secured.

If travelling alone probably AA F would be better plus you get flagship check-in.

You can search EF for that QF flight.

SK Y: exit row seats with extra legroom could be reserved for free.
SK J: 100% identical to Y (same tight legroom, no blocked middle seat, etc.), but you get a free can of Coke.

Ergo, SK Y > J.

(Their A330 is a clear exception, with its lie-flat J.)
