You can gets lots of times real business class from IST to TLV too on TK, plus they have a good ground experience there.
excuse my ignorance but what does good ground service mean?

The layover airport amenities and the J lounge.

That was my thought but I wanted to see if anyone else who'd flown any of them had a different opinion.
I personally would go for OS over LX, if not for the fake J, which really does make a difference even though it's only about 4 hours.

The problem with TK is, the cross-Atlantic flight has no direct aisle access.

I believe the middle seats each have direct aisle access, and I assume you mean the ones on the sides don't have direct aisle access, which for me I think is a deal breaker. If I understand correctly the LO Dreamliner has the same issue.

Isn't OS J narrower than LX?

Does anyone  have a picture  of El al angle flat business seats? How bad are they angled?
Check recent OMAAT post re ElAl
Which is the best business class (of the following. I'm sure there are better options out there, but assuming I'm flying NYC-TLV with a stop on Star Alliance, these are my options) OS on the 767-300,  LX on the A330-300, TK on A330-300, or LO on the 787-8 Dreamliner?
Aside from the actual long haul plane, LO has a very long stop IINM. TK has one of the worlds best business class lounges.
Just points to consider

I did notice the long LO stop and I was taking that into consideration. Thanks. I wasn't aware of how good the lounge is, but I think I'd value the on board product over the lounge especially if I wont be spending that much time there. I wouldn't choose to loose my freedom of mobility (losing direct aisle access from the window seat) for the opportunity to access a good lounge. I don't remember how long the layover is on the TK flights, but one of the things that I like about the LX flight is the short layover which gets me to my destination faster. I was originally thinking about the LX or OS. I figured I'd throw in the LO and TK just to get people's general opinions on those products.

There's also the Soft product, assuming you keep kosher, the Caterer can mean the difference between an inedible meal and a good one, as well as the alcohol selection, then there is the friendliness and professionalism of the FAs etc.
About movement, in your original post you should write you're flying solo, for example I'm soon flying TK J and would choose that over OS, becuase I want to be next to my SO. All these details matter ;)

Fair point.

But to be honest I dont care that much about the food on the plane (better alcohol can be nice but I can live without it). I have a tendency to BMOK just in case. But in terms of FAs, in my very limited experience I have yet to encounter a bad flight staff, although I'm sure they exist as I've read about them, I'm not sure how much they'd negatively affect (effect? I can never seem to get that right) my experience.

Also, whats SO?

Either I misunderstood and the hype about CX being awesome was just related to F, or I just don't get why everyone loves them so much. I think KE blows them out of the water and QR was better too IMO. Planes seem dated, and the service was fine, but nothing amazing. Oh, and one of the flight attendants was so rude and obnoxious that I was tempted to pop open the emergency door and give her a shove on multiple occasions.

Nope. Obviously would've been nice but definitely not bitter.

you are comparing KE F to CX J that is not a fair comparison. I never flew KE F though. Only SQ R and CX F and I think the CX F seat and bed is so much better than SQ R.

I just think the service is much better. Flight attendants are incredibly friendly and helpful with a baby. Offered to watch our kid while we slept, etc.

Lol actually didn't end up using the empty seats because my kid fell asleep on my wife for most of the flight. But a lot of empty seats.

And did they let you sit in the f row on that flight?
Nope. Empty though. Seems like it's blocked off. Weird.
