Then definitely the 764 and try to snag a solo middle seat if you're flying by yourself.

I was thinking to fly the 3 cabin aircraft in the hope of getting bumped up to first class. I have a club card. Any chance in the world?

Don't count on it, club card means nothing.

VS Airbus A340-600 EWR-LHR bookable through Delta for 85k skymiles, no tax/fees. How does their business class compare with Polaris?

Preferable, if flying solo.

No matter the answer, if you leave from ORD and rely on KSML instead of BYOK, you should have your DDF privileges revoked.

Looking for recommendations for EU-NYC. I've never flown a real premium TATL product before, so throw it at me.

- I'll likely be buying the miles I need, so I'm really not tied to any alliance.
- I don't really care if there's YQ or not - only on the final price (cost of miles, taxes, YQ, etc.).
- Willing to pay a premium for a seat that doesn't have these tiny footwells, if need be.
- Much prefer a single seat (e.g. 1-2-1 over 2-2).
- I don't drink or smoke, so booze, cigar lounges, and whatnot aren't a selling point for me. I don't fit into any bathtubs, so keep your rubber duckies too ;D. Decent KSML would be nice though.
- Specifically looking for a European carrier, although I want to maximize the flight, so rather a longer LH flight than a shorter flight on, say, BA.
- I specifically do not want to fly Swiss, although I understand that it does check a good many of my boxes.
- I'll be originating in CDG, so a non-fake-J on the connection would be nice, although not required. (And yes, I know that the above Swiss mishigas probably precludes this :P).

It seems that LH F would be a nice fit, although I don't mind paying less for a fantastic J product (no footweels, single seat, etc), if that exists.

Any thoughts?

For starters,

Best *A product is probably OS and it fits most of your recommendations (Great KSML, 1-2-1 etc.)

Otherwise probably AF on the new 777.

Thats for the J department..

Will look into those... I imagine you're talking about F on both?

Curious what's your issue with LX?

No J product is worth connecting for over AF 777 reverse herringbone.

If you can get LH F (pretty easy get if you're flex) or SQ R (very tough on that route), then I'd connect, esp if you haven't done any premium products before.
