That, sadly
I actually tried to book through US after I put it on hold on AA and it wasn't there. Maybe got the last one, or maybe they're not so good at sharing yet.

He should take his jacket off. It looks like an ad for camel cigarettes from the 50's. :)

Seriously, a lot of the promos look like that, but i like the idea of n one to make small talk with.

I'm booked in first on a A321T LAX-JFK red eye and coming back that evening for 62K miles. (on hold). Usually I fly united because the miles are much easier to come by for me, but there was no availability at saver levels.
Here's my question - should United open up, is the A321T first experience worth an extra 12,500 miles RT over united business?
Yes,

You get the privacy of the 1-1 configuration and kosher meals.

Also wouldn't it be 65k RT ?

I'll be flying AA NYC-LAX in Jan.
I see that the first class seats are separate from each other's and I won't be able to seat next to my wife, OTOH in business the seats are divided per two which seems perfect for a couple.
On seatguru.com I saw the business seats are also flat beds.

So now my question, I need help making the decision. I guess it depends how much better is first over business?

TIA

If you are flying as a couple you are much better off in business class,
Unless you are taking a red-eye and both plan on sleeping the entire flight.

First class seats are only minimally bigger then business class seats and there is a lot of wasted space.

Yes, but in business will still need to jump over the aisle seat

Probably negligible on this route. May be better off saving the miles.

Personally i am going to be flying this in F on the A321 in January as well and can't wait.

So if I may ask, why did you decide to go F?

I am booked all the way to Japan. Once i am "paying" for F to Japan, i figured i may as well fly F to the West Coast as well :)

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-08-26/airlines-mull-first-class-future-after-success-of-business-beds.html

According to this article, it seems like some of the major airlines are shaking up the first class/business class setups for various routes.
I'm wondering what this will do for the redemption possibilities on these airlines...

Just took this flight in first ,  it's a real nice first class,  but if I was traveling with my wife I think I would have gone business,  assuming it's lie flat.
Biggest perks were : more privacy,  a large work area,  and a huge screen.  Also gets you flagship lounge access.

You can't, just pray for luck.
