i may have misunderstood you, i took it that you were commenting on the quote dan quoted that hashem doesnt give one a greater nisayon than they can handle and we shouldnt go easy on him. not in the slightest. whether in doing that he is a tzadik gamur or not is none of my business. whether its assur or not can not be denied; and whether it goes against every aspect of judaism with no room for justification and maybe more than borders on kfira is not a question. but with regards to whether or not he deserves kiruv or bashiing i would say neither - he deserves a dechiya bishtay yodaim and the biggest kiruvim at the same time, you just need to be mechalek what your being mekarev and what your being merachek - as long as one looks at him as "matisyahu" all the kiruvim wont work because his image is too big for himself. his children should be allowed into the chedarim as children of someone looking to become a baal teshuva and on that basis only, otherwise....
