I can't say about multiple children, but i have done more with my kid than i have ever done. Since January, have flown 24 legs and 50,000 miles with the kid. It can be done.
I don't think you can compare taking a trip with a kid or without. I've flown over 100k with my kid and it's getting harder. The night flights are not such a big deal, since she sleeps for most of it, but the day flights she just likes to look at all the other pax and won't sit still.

Wow, how often are you traveling? We have 19 legs on our 6 week trip but we're on summer break.
We did Israel in January, MIA in February for a weekend, Thailand/Hong Kong in March/April, drove to Canada for second days of Pesach, Went to LA in May over Memorial Day and then to MIA for a wedding May/June and then just did VCE +7 day cruise and then FCO for the weekend. I try to schedule my trips around legal/Jewish holidays to maximize my time off. Additionally, i can work remotely, so i still actually have some PTO days remaining :)

August-January i rarely can get away, so we pack it in every other month.

Agreed. It is getting a little more challenging, but with all the space in F, it makes it a little easier :)

Was 10 months on the 17th.
Look at my first year, all is dandy until they learn to walk.
Then fuggedaboutit. Gets infinity harder to contain them on a plane. And each additional kid adds 4x the complexity.

IOW, enjoy it while it lasts :)

Well the roped off F cabin can keep them within eye sight :)

Though i do see it getting harder with him. Hoping for the best and will see what it is like come January time when i can travel again.

Once they can walk they just want to move around and wreak havoc...but you'll see in good time ;)

When you have 1 kid under 1 it all still seems sustainable :D
I'm guilty of that thinking too.

I guess i will then have to pull a Meir613 and bring a babysitter to sit in coach with the kid.

But i do hope my kid stays "calm" for as long as possible.

Incredible. I hope my job (and my wife's) allows me to work like that. And to have all those miles...

+10, you'd just might have a different time of the year off as I do.

But be careful not to post it on FT  ;)

I think it all depends which kind of kids you have.... My kids gets up in middle of the night, 6 o'clock in the morning, etc.. They are kids who wont sit on the couch and relax, it's just not worth to go on vacation with such a schedule.  I would take a very short MIA vacation (so i can let my kids behind) rather than a long Europe vacation together with my kids. But BH for that.....
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

My kids are like that too. I once took them to England. Nobody on that plane slept that night. Not doing that again. Tops I could leave my kids behind is a night & 2 days. Not much vacation time. But BH for that.
