How do you know it doesn't go over Ukraine?

It doesn't. And no.
How can you say for certain there is nothing to worry about?

It is unclair yet why and how this plane was shot down. Who's to say those missiles can't hit planes that are on other routes

More than 100 of the world's leading AIDS experts were on this flight. They were heading to an international conference in Melbourne.

An Australian couple, Irene Burrows and George Burrows, have lost family members in both of the Malaysia Airlines disasters this year. Their son and daughter-in-law (Rodney and Mary) went missing with flight MH370. Now they have lost more family members with MH17: their son-in-law's daughter and her husband, Maree and Albert Rizk.

Heartbreaking

Crazy.
Though I don't know anyone that was on MH370 and still wouldn't have flown MH even if it was free after that craziness...

No fly zone has been imposed around the whole area.
The whole area? How big of an area is that?

It took shooting down a commercial jet for this this area to become  no fly zone. (military Jets were already shot down in that area). That is not reassuring at all

So stop flying
There was a no fly zone under 32,000 feet. The jet was at 33,000 feet.
Maybe we should impose a no fly zone anywhere where there are missiles

That would leave us with only flying over the Amish.

Not everyone blamed Malaysia Airlines for the disappearance. It was a very rare crazy story. Malaysia had thousands of perfect flights before and after that story.

After THIS incident however...

He's a foreign soldier. His parents aren't in Israel.

-100000
This incident had nothing to do with Malaysian Airlines. It could have happened to anybody.
The last one was either foul play, or pilot error - both related to the airline.

And I think Dan's comment was not a rational one but an emotional one
