Paypal and payanywhere, although never used them - i've using square for a while now and been loving them.

I use paypal card reader, though I always do it with a swipe not keyed in. Cost 2.75%.

Has anyone looked into cc processing for a real business? 2.75% is a lot to pay off the top. Anyone do better?

I don't have any ideas, but I know that the Jewish processors in Brooklyn get better rates. Just need to make sure they don't have hidden fees.

How much are you swiping? if it is a few thousands a month,  you are still best off with square.

Why would you best off with square? Isn't Amazon cheaper? Anyways, it's more than that

Yes, I have a merchant account.

I would highly recommend Banquest.

For a lot of transaction Square will be cheaper even if you are processing $100k a month.
Only difference is, Square is very low risk tolerant, and if you process more than what they are comfortable for you to process they will shut you down.
Additionally if you need online processing, Square does not give API for virtual terminals.

Does anyone know if the referral credits get used up oldest first? Or square makes you use up the most recent credits first so you have less time to use the older credits? (if noone can understand my q please let me know and I'll try to be clearer) TIA

It seems that from every referal ALL your credits get extended another 180 days. But a simple solution would be to just use it up, why wait?
