When I called they said they don't cover war/civil unrest.
If we bought tickets to Israel on our Chase Sapphire card and want to cancel due to the situation, will the insurance (Crawford-CHUBB) cover the cost of the tickets? (The airline is still flying and not giving full refunds.)We called them and asked but they won't say anything over the phone. They just say "file a claim and we'll see if it gets accepted".Anyone out there has gone through this recently or in the past? Thanks a lot!
I tried doing the same thing. Chubb sent me an email of all the things that they cover and one of the things is "terrorist action". They wouldn't tell me what this situation falls under and "a claims examiner would need to review all appropriate documentation bra cause each claim and situation is unique". It's a risk because you don't know what category they would place this situation in......
Please let us know if they reimburse you or not.(I find it hard to believe that we are the only ones on this forum grappling with this.)
I am planning on cancelling a trip. I purchased the trip on Chase Sapphire and at the time I also bought the Priceline Trip Insurance (I dont know why, but this is where I am at). Can I submit a claim on one and then if that gets denied submit a claim on the other? Goes without saying that I am NOT trying to double up.Is one much better than the other?Does it matter if you cancel 2 weeks before the trip or 2 days before the trip? Thanks.
If I book a flight with Citi Thank You Points and put a little bit of the cost on my SP, and I have to cancel due to illness of an immediate family member (covered according to Chase), will they cover the loss of my Citi points, if so at what value?
BUMP
FYI. They need documentation why. If because someone was sick you have to show proof. I feel it is not easy with this flight cancellation service to get refunded
My parents have a flight to eretz yisroel coming up and my wife is overdue and now it looks like it might interfere with their flight the ticket was made with a saphire card does anyone know if there would be a way to get compensated for cancelling and if there is anything i can do? Thanks
