I can confirm that it will apply as much credit as you have toward an amazon instant video purchase. I just tried and i didnt know that you get no confiormation page when buying a video. it was a $56 season of a show and 1 click and it used all of my promo credit and charged my cc!

Chat was willing to cancel the order, but i got a bit of push back about refunding the promo credit. Appaarently, they cannot issue credit that is only good for amazon video, it works for all digital media. So I got $28 didigtal media credit.

I just tried buying a regular item, and turns out I got $28 regular amazon credit. So YMMV on converting theis credit to amazon standard credit, but I just did it for $28.

Amazon CSR could not find the $1 video credit offer that the OP was referring to.  Is it still going on?

BTW, they told me that the max credit is $1 per video, not like reported on the post above.  I like @mbelsky's experience  better.

Ok, so I'm a little slow.  By ordering these doodads, you get $1 'video' credit and title says it comes with free prime (which I have).  Great.  You have to put two and two together to understand that you only get the video credit if you choose no-rush and ignore the free prime in the title.  Misleading even if I happened to have read DDMS.

You aren't concerned that they are going to shut you down? You are raising red flags, buddy, watch out! WHen you abuse a deal like this, you ended up messing it up for yourself, and others who used it modestly. Anyways, what do you plan on doing with all of the video credit?

I am slightly concerned they would shut me down, but not overly. I guess maybe I should stop at $1000. I plan to buy full seasons of lots of shows for me and my kids.

But if they don't kick me out for $1k, are they much more likely for $3K?

Didn't think about ordering seasons of shows. All I could think of was how many movies can I possibly watch by October. But that's a pretty good idea. Problem is #1 getting shut down and #2 them shipping on time.

Didn't find this question anywhere, but can you close your amazon acct, then start new with a new free prime account? I actually did this once, I closed my acct before i went to israel for 2 years, then opened a new one after 2 years with the same email and cc. I'm wondering if that means amazon is keeping tabs on me>?
