This is silly.
Fox is conservative TV, CNN is liberal.
Who cares?

Fox is on average in the center. Hannity and Huckabee are conservative, Oreilly and Greta are very much in the center. When you combine averages, their position is in the center, as is WSJ.

Breitbart and Drudge are conservative.

Fox and MSNBC are at the ends of the spectrum. CNN while not in the middle they are not at one extreme either.
wrong. They're at the extreme left.

I only mentioned a small fraction of the equation. Take the hundreds of journalists, and the center-leaning journalists far outnumber the right-wing journalists.

So why the claim of fair and balanced ?
Call yourself Conservative and don't lie to your viewers.

CNN isn't lying by claiming to be impartial?
Everyone has an agenda. Fox is balanced news like Atkins is a balanced diet. Something needs to balance everything out.

the problem is if most of your news comes from one source. how can that be balanced out?

Agreed. That's why you shouldn't get everything from one source no matter what your beliefs.

But I'll still call a spade a spade.

These headlines should end this debate.

Here are some recent headlines from Fox News:
  • What are the keys to a lasting cease-fire in Gaza?
  • Obama tells Netanyahu US worried about mounting civilian deaths
  • Netanyahu vows Israel will do 'whatever is necessary' in fight with Hamas
  • Israel clashes with Hamas in Gaza Strip

Now, here are some from CNN:
  • How can bloodshed end?
  • Israel military rejects blame for deaths at U.N. shelter
  • Reporter's notebook: Scenes from the ground in Gaza
  • U.N. shelter in Gaza hit, 16 dead
  • Is Hamas using human shields in Gaza? The answer is complicated
  • In Gaza, attack on hospital delivers devastation and grief

The Fox News headlines do not in any way show favoritism to one side, whereas the ones from CNN...

There's a good reason why CNN is in the toilet. Just keep showing wolf blitzer & his situation room, that'll help.

Everyone has an agenda. Fox is balanced news like Atkins is a balanced diet. Something needs to balance everything out.

They don't have to claim to be impartial. Journalism is by definition supposed to be impartial. The job of a journalist is to get the facts and report it, not skew it in favor of personal beliefs.

Perhaps Fox believes they deserve the Fair and Balanced title, because they have some right-wing journalists, but also have center and left wing journalists, whereas no other network can seriously make the same claim.

Maybe relative to MSNBC they are conservative, but relative to the MSM they consider themselves far more balanced than the other networks.

That's right buddy. So if you are getting your news from ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NYT or Huffington Post, you need to find another source to balance it out...

i think you missed the second headline.

'Dig Deep'
First lady Michelle Obama is complaining on the fundraising circuit about the evils of money in politics -- while also asking Democratic Party supporters to “write a big fat check” before the November elections.
Michelle Obama complains about money in politics, then asks for 'fat check'

so if all these are one sided then you need FOX to be extremely one side the other way to be balanced it out or is this the new math you are using again?  :)
