Author Topic: PSA: Visa GC's at Staples have changed (Read 5906 times)

It seems that the newer Visa GC's are coded differently. I tried the MC workaround but it didn't work for me maybe I did something wrong but seems like a no go.
Don't know when they made this change but mine that didn't work have an expiration date of 1/2023, and are dated as being from 1/14. On the card above the metallic Eagle instead of "VALID USA IL..." it has some numbers then a symbol of a P or something.
Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.....

+1. It worked for me perfectly around a week ago, so I don't really know what you are talking about. Perhaps, you picked up the wrong card?

just looked at my used cards, i have both types, and both have gone through no problem

they are both issued by MetaBank so they will work.

are the first 6 numbers on the old and new cards the same or different?

it's happened before that cashiers/registers messed up and the cards didn't load...did u check the balance?

I also used the one with a p symbol today no problems on a variable visa go, but the staples 200 was not working

Yes I called for the balance right away. I believe changes r coming.

OT My brother said his VGC that he already used in other places, didnt work in Costco, for purchases (his game is mild with just using GC in stores to get 5ppd on all purchases) any idea chaim?
