Israeli Credit Cards
« on: July 28, 2014, 07:53:58 AM »
So yeah I know most here cannot have one but my wife is Israeli and I just got her a card that gives 2אגורות 1 off per gallon at sonol AND 3% CB!
Anyone know how the system works here in Israel? Are there credit scores etc.?

There is something like a credit score.  I have no details.

What's the monthly fee (after the first six mo.)?

The 3% merchants are too few, too narrow.  I don't have a car, but for someone who does, it may be worth it just for the 21ag, which if gas is 8shek/l works out to 2.6%

I'll stick to using my M&M for now.

No on gas from sonol and a few other merchants
Just from the full service pump service, which is more expensive

Terms on the link you posted say 6 months.

I may be super skeptical, but I don't believe the current climate of "corporations squeeze consumers to the last drop" that reigns in Israel will ever produce anything like a points card that's worth anything.

says so very clear in the link you posted above, the הנחה is only from  מחירון המלא and all stations have different prices for full or self service
There is actually a thread already about Israeli cc here, there might be useful info there.

yes, there are a few credit cards in Israel that have that benefit, it's only for full service.
not that great, as it brings it to about the same price as filling up by yourself.
