We took the bus from Granada, where we spent the day, to Algeciras. From there, it's a 20 min taxi ride to the GIB border. There are other options for transportation as well. You can pm me for more details.

Def easier and very doable. Ask locals about parking in GIB.

Agreed. Driving to GIB was painless and parking wasn't too bad.

Any interest in a Gibraltar (short) trip report?
Just out of curiosity why is Gibraltar in the Spain thread?

because there's not much to do there and usually (if not always) it's the Shabbos part of a Spain trip

Yes, please! Very much!

Just out of curiosity why is Gibraltar in the Spain thread?

Was wondering the same, until I looked at a map:

Gibraltar is that teeny tiny dot attached to the bottom of gigantic Spain. Should be quite understandable why people may consider it "batul" to Spain when planning a trip. :P

Thank you!
It has zero to do with Spain.
It's a British colony

Gibraltar trip report. p1.
I was looking to get away for a weekend to somewhere sunny and different.
I didn't have time for a long trip so after deciding on Europe it was basically between verona, malga and Gibraltar.
Gibraltar won (probably because of the English connection ;), and I have been there once before)
Going to the airport with uber (thanks dan)
Thursday night we flew out with AA jfk to lhr on the new (not so new to me) AA 77w in j
Arrived in lhr 8am I davened in the ba lounge in t3 and had a good breakfast served by them.
Took the ba flight from LHR to GIB landing in Gibraltar 2pm Friday.
Shabbath was 6:30pm so it wasn't a problem bh.
Checked in to the Rock hotel and unpacked the box of beautifully prepared food Pomegranate and setup the hotplate in the room for Shabbath.
To my surprise ups delivered a huge package for me from a friend in London with cookies, chocolate and a few bottles of scotch :).
We then walked down hill to the city centre, bumped into a fellow jew I asked him where is the shul so he explained to me that he is picking up his grandchildren from school now (interesting the Jewish school on Friday finished at 4pm) there was a grocery across the street selling kosher food meat, dairy, nosh, baked goods and more still open.
We walked back to the hotel really impressed and excited to see a beautiful and warm Jewish community in such a beautiful city.
More to follow

So we set up the food on a hot plate in the room.
And decided to split up the davening each tefilla in a different shul, so we met up with this nice guy who walked with us from the centre to the shaar hashamyim shul for Friday night, it was absolutely gorgeous the outside and the inside of the shul, and a very nice davening.
Shabbath morning we went to daven in nefutzot yehuda the oldest shul in Gibraltar 350 year's old, and that's the main shul where they house a kollel and have activities going on, as well a beautiful shul with old moldings and nice people.
We where invited by numerous people to eat with them the seuda but as we had already everything setup we declined.
After climbing back to the hotel and after finishing the seuda we walked to the beach (it wasn't the nicest day) clean and airy, after walking around we bumped into a huge boat docking by the Marine, after finding someone to ask about it, he explained that this boat is a new hotel scheduled to open up end of March (sounds like a beautiful hotel and pricey too) we walked then to mincha and mariv to the abudarham shul, a smaller shul but vibrant and a young crowd.
We met there the former mayor of Gibraltar Solomon levy who is a great person with a beautiful personality, who after mariv took us into his office and gave us a signed copy of his biography (a nice book). We walked back to the hotel and it was already late in the evening so we ended up hanging out in the hotel

Sunday morning we woke up to a beautiful day sun shining,
I walked to daven there are only 2 minyanim either vasikin or 830 it was packed.
After that I had a tour guide that a local recommended that took us on a 4 hour tour around Gibraltar and up to the rock.
We started out in Europe point seeing the stunning views to Africa Morocco and then on to the caves and apes up the rock.
He took us to the jew gate where right next to it is a hidden cemetery that is about 350 year's old.
It was absolutely gorgeous, history and sightseeing mixed together with the fun of the monkeys so close
