Are you crazy? It's a 25 minute walk or a 7 minute drive at most. GIB is tiny!

What about going through the border? Takes time?

With a car, yeah, it can take about 30 minutes, but on foot there didn't seem to be a wait. If the cab drops you off on the La Linea side it's a quick walk in.

According to this site it should cost a bit, but it's probably your best option.

Still cheaper and simpler then a car rental

True, especially if you have to pay for parking in GIB. Where are you staying there?

Most people I know who've gone have stayed at a hotel for shabbos (all shuls are within a 15 minute walk of all hotels, most are 5 min or less), and get hosted for meals. Were you looking to stay with someone for shabbos or just eat there?

Hmmm, I may be able to help you with eating, but the people we at with didn't offer sleeping accommodations. They recommended the Elliot Hotel which is a 1 minute walk from their house.

How long does it take from getting dropped off by a taxi by the border of GIB till I will be in the Jewish community?
Walking should be 20 min driving like 5

Huh? Are you saying the  line to get in walking should be 4x longer than driving? At least when I drove in there was a 20-30 minute wait whereas I didn't see any line for pedestrians.

That sounds like a good deal based on that site though. Does that include tolls on the AP-7 or only the toll-free A7 route? We had some time so we took the A7 and it was a great drive. It didn't have any traffic and only took a few minutes longer than the AP-7.

YMMV on the border. We spent <1 minute driving through.
