Woa! I was just looking at the UR mall and the Elliot is bookable on there for just 16K!
Time to cancel my paid reservation, although I think it's a $15 cancellation fee.

Yeah, just realized. Paid $165. And 16K UR @ 1.6 = $256 meaning paid makes more sense.

See above. No idea what their "BRG" means as the $165 is a lower rate found on a competing site.

I emailed them, waiting for response. But I booked the lower price just in case they say BRG means nothing and didn't want to miss out on the price.

1) Update: hotel never got back to me. BRG must just something they put on their site to impress you.

2) Anyone know info about the Royal Palace? How much did it cost to go in? Long lines? How long did it take?

Yes, I've been warned about that, and like you said, there's nothing better.

Was hoping someone had info about the Royal Palace?

If anyone has any other questions please feel free to ask!

Also, can you describe the hotel in GIB ?

Points or Cash ?

thanks

What's the best way to book the Elliot at GIB?  Direct booking appears cheapest but is non-refundable.  Chase rewards gives less value per point, but is it refundable?

I saw it on Amoma for like $30 cheaper than direct booking. Just checkout Wego and HotelsCombined to see what site has it the cheapest.
Not sure if UR is refundable, but yes it is less value. Wanted bragging rights that every night for 33 nights was in a free hotel, so I used my points.  ::)

Open a bank acct with no fees and that refunds any fees from the ATM (like a TD acct) and then only take out of ATMs.

I booked my trip for the end of this month. Two days in Torrremolinos (Malaga) and Friday - Shabbos in GIB. I was going to rent a car for the drive to the GIB border but it appears that a taxi is cheaper than a rental with automatic transmission.
