I booked my trip for the end of this month. Two days in Torrremolinos (Malaga) and Friday - Shabbos in GIB. I was going to rent a car for the drive to the GIB border but it appears that a taxi is cheaper than a rental with automatic transmission.
Could be. What are you seeing taxi rates for?

Each way? My rental from SVQ-GIB-SVQ for 3 days was about 165euro bc I'm underage and gas/tolls came out to 53. A bit cheaper to rent acc to these numbers. Haven't gotten to my TR yet, but once we crossed the border, driving was a nightmare. You may enjoy a taxi much more.

I did it a long time ago, but I picked up a car in Seville,, drove to GIB and dropped off at AGP. Unfortunately, it was a long time ago so I don't remember pricing at all. I can tell you that driving was fine and the views along the coast between GIB and AGP were beautiful.

Okay and estimate 50-80 for gas and tolls and parking and then decide.

On my flight home (GIB-LHR-JFK) I would like my bags tagged in a way so that I don't have to pick them up for my connecting flight at LHR.  Problem is the flight from GIB is British Airways while the 2nd leg is Delta.  Are they able to accomodate such a request?

TIA

delta and ba have a interline agreement so if the agent is knowledge enough it could be done

I hope you are correct. I have read elsewhere BA does not interline on separate tickets, other than with its Oneworld alliance partners.

I don't see why not. You're looking for BA? Or LY for the first leg? You have to call up to book LY.
