Translated for my non-Jewish friends: Means a convert to Judaism is as if he was born a Jew. Literally means like he was just born, hence he was born a Jew.
Just don't go around sysnagogue saying that you're a born-again
Excellent translation, but more so, the explanation, R' Chaim. Very deep. You obviously do your fair share of learning Torah. Maybe you can help me revive the "what are you learning" thread.
Maybe Chaim should give a Talmud class
I wonder if reb Chaim lives in Chicago....
Milt's DO?
They are not open at this time and we all know why.
Reb Chaim, speaking of the nine days restrictions, what do you do this motzoei shabbos about the havdallah wine? Do you drink it or give it to a child? If the latter, how old? Or is it preferable to make havdallah on "chmar medinah"? If so, which beverage. Thank you.
Are you sure you aren't thinking too highly of your Rabbi here? He may have Yo Dan Yo Dan but that doesn't mean that he has Yoreh Yoreh...
why are you asking me? this is one for your LOR, if you are that curious, I used grape juice as usual.
