My SIL was shopping with my nephew and he asked why they stopped buying peaches (or some other fruit) so she told him about seasons etc. so he asked "Are rugelach in season?"

Nope, doughnuts are.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Someone in my family had a girl. One of her married children were explaining to her son that "bobby had a girl", he said "that's not true, bobbies don't have babies. You should send a note to my rebbe cuz he's old and he also has to know that bobbies can have babies"...  :-X

I told my son that Zeidy will give Chankah gelt at the party. When he got the money he was all disappointed, that's not real Chanukah gelt, it doesn't have chocolate...

Son 5 - Ma, I saw a bus today with leaves and a big red bow. It's for sure a girls bus.

Years ago....early reader.

3.6 years old:
Him: Upset. "We can't go in there. It's a bad place."
Mom: "What do you mean it's a bad place?"
Him: "They sell drugs"
Um, it's a drugstore.

Fast forward to 10 years old:
Reading in Proverbs
Him: "What's a harlot?"
Mom: explains and notices kid getting a highlighter and marking passage.
Mom: "Why are you highlighting it?"
Him: "For future reference."

Same age, audited college class:
Interview question with adults : "Will it bother you to be with older people?"
Him: puzzled expression, "No, I live with older people."

How did mom explain that one?

Lol. I don't even remember, but I always answered questions truthfully and it must have been significant enough that he felt he needed to remember it when he was older. It's a wonder I survived that kid.

A high vocabulary can come in handy for those questions.
