Anyone care to comment on recent experience going over the border from Eilat for one night to Taba to stay at a Taba hotel? I see there's an Egged bus from the city to the border but what then? Any border fees? How much time does it take to cross the border? How is getting from border to the hotel and back? Any problems bringing tefilin and a tallis? Any safety issues? Do they give you a new tourist visa when returning to Israel with 90 more days? Any issues crossing at night? Thanks
Any safety issues?
yes
HmmmAlready has a legitimate ticket to leave Israel 5 days later. Problem is that current visa expires in 3 days...and absolutely cannot risk being marked as overstaying B2 because must be back in country later this year for an extended period of time. So only need a few days extension. I guess it's not a sure thing one will get any extension.
If really a student for a couple semesters? Or is the issue living there or working there?
if your not a real tourist... and you have been in Israel for a while on B2 visas they might not let you through (from experience ).
