much appreciated Dan the man...

Would you personally apply for another card with the same company a week later?? Or it doesn't make sense to get another pull at this point??

Most of us wouldn't take a second pull from the same bank a week after an MBM unless a very special offer was unveiled.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

I don't worry about pulls too much, when there's a good offer I go for it and push it through.
But I'm not known for conservatism in this game.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

50K for the Delta Platinum would be considered a special offer?? That's what I'm currently debating..

If it's very valuable to you, then yes. It is significantly higher than the normal offer, FWIW.

Last year i was a Spartan when it came to not thinking about hits, but I thought I'd get more feedback.. It didn't seem to affect me too much last year, but i don't recall doing it with the same company in a short time frame.. I'll still weigh my options..

Yeah, it could be, but I'm still weighing my options. The outside input helps though, thanks!

Any recent credit card 2BM’s experience with amex?  In my experience  only charge cards get  instant approved and credit cards get a hold for the 2nd application :-[
I did a 3bm: Delta Gold, PRG, and SPG. The Delta and PRG got instant approvals, while the SPG was pending. It was approved less than a week later without me doing anything, but it resulted in a second pull.

Similar Experience.

I actually called in the interim, and the rep told me that with regards to credit cards (as opposed to charge cards), the system is now set up to "space" multiple applications out, where each additional is automatically pending for several days after the prior application is approved.
Sounds like AMEX "anti-2BM/3BM/4BM" is here.
Which would explain this:

the biggest CHITZPA is that the charge cards are getting approved even 4 or 5 of them  & thats the secret of the 5k a week!!!
its time for a main site post LIKE THIS:
