I keyed in 7.5K on an international credit card just now on the register. shows as completed, but amazon is holding the money and not yet making it available - because it was keyed in. (2.75% fee)
The lady i called told me swiped transactions are available immediately - keyed in takes up to 14 days.
She also said besides some random calls about setting up an account i was the first account with a transaction she has seen, since it went live this morning.

Isn't the threshold 200 and 20k? So for 500 GC's you could do almost 100k. This would be good for almost a week.

You realize that you're likely not getting 2.75% worth of redemption, right?

Classic answer but #1 I never got approved for an Ink and #2 MS is a hassle IMO. I do it to hit spending thresholds and that's it.

Buy Amex gc through a shoping portal and cash then out through this. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

That's interesting. AMEX GC are often free and this is the only MS method I know of that I think would accept an AMEX GC. But still 1.75% is $17.50 per $1000 vs $6-12 for VGC and BB.

+1.  My grandfathered blue cash card gives me unlimited 5% at CVS.  Activation eats up about 1%.  I'd hate to give up another 1.75% but it's a good option in a pinch.

I was going to use AS but went with straight CB. Most do pay out until they go belly up.

1.75% of a $500 VGC is $8.75.  That's a lot to give up just to save a trip to Walmart, especially since I bring 8-10 cards with me at a time...
