The way you posted this deal is deceptive. This is ONLY in regards to family plans. And the deal is 4 lines at 2.5 gb.  Not individuals lines. Also it doesn't include tablets.

I feel embarrassed. Of course it's 4 lines minimum, 5 lines maximum; no tablets; you can make the change online rather than by calling. Thanks for correcting.

Anyway, the offer is good for existing(!) customers. If you are already on T-Mobile's family plan, it's a shame to bypass this offer.  Call or make the change online.
