Option 2.
SYD-SIN = SQ R a380
SIN-ICN = KE F 77w
ICN-ORD = KE F 77w 2.0

Issue is missing out on a half a day in SYD and flying KE a330.

Not missing out half a day, the way I see it you aren't getting out a minute before 10 and are heading out by 12, 2 hrs max.
Waking up very early on the other hand is a whole separate issue

As one person, and with the upcoming deval, I'd choose option 3, assuming the A380 to JFK or the 787 to IAD will open. Don't have too much interest in KE.

Would you say that before you ever flew KE F?

That'd be the one for me, with the possibility of switching second segment to A380 if it opens.

I like Option 2 (unless you get much out of an overnight in ICN in Option 1) if trying new products and getting back quickest without having to wake up early is the goal. Option 4 sounds good if you'll be in the Gold or Sunshine Coasts, but if you'll be in SIN or MEL you'll need to add a segment making it an extra stop. However, if the goal is to burn AA pre-deval and not get back the quickest (or just to try another EY product).

Forgot something important (to me at least).

With both options, if I continue onto LAX, I'd lose EY chauffeur. Because there is a 100% chance I'd need to get back to NYC on the first option (where I'd definitely lose it) but only a 25% chance I'd take the LAX flight, it makes more sense for me to do the second option and scrap the LA part.

Not sure if that made sense, but essentially, even though I'd love to take the JFK-LAX in AA F, the odds are, following a two week vacation, that I won't be able to swing a quick trip to LAX, even for Beverly Hills Thai. If I'm not going to LAX, I may as well have a 100% shot at EY Chauffeur home.

A380x2 seems the way to go.
Uber Pool home from JFK would cost you how much? I say keep the LAX leg for reasons mentioned.

$100+

I just don't see a *good* chance of taking that LAX flight, because I'd have to basically take a red-eye home for work the next day.

Beverly Hills Thai, Tierra Sur,etc are good, but I'm not sure they're worth flying 10 hours for after a 2 week trip.

...am I off?

Really? What did you book with? AA? How is this connected to other flights?

It isn't yet. Now lets see how I can squeeze out more vacation days that I already don't have.

Nice find. How far out?

Better to find KUL-LHR in a perfect world. Gonna get slammed on APD.

Seems to be only 3 weeks in April from what I am currently seeing.
