5 tickets in Y on UA for next mid-winter break in Panama:

Den-IAH (stopover to take care of some work stuff and see NASA with the kids)
IAH-PTY
PTY-Den (only flies direct once a week)

35k pp (175k total) on SQ and $115 taxes pp no YQ, for what would have cost me $1200 pp, super stoked!

LH J/F TLV-FRA-JFK held for my wife and daughter (lap). The US call center seems like it can't book TLV-ZRH-FRA-JFK, so I'm going to have to try and get the German call center to change the hold.

Going to wait till 2 weeks out to be able to book my seat.

Departing right after YK shofar and returning on the eighth day of Sukkot  ;):

BOS-ZRH-TLV LX Y (BOS-ZRH is A-330)
TLV-YYZ-BOS AC Y (TLV-YYZ is 787)

Three pax, $805 pp.

Besides drugs and alcohol, will happily take suggestions for tolerating the Y flights. I hear the legroom on LX A330 is very tight.  :'(

PHL-MSY
MSY-PHL

7.5k Avios/person

At 1,089 miles, it's probably the farthest band 2 awards you can get from PHL. Cash price is $323, so just over 2cpp.

Doesn't sound like an award booking...

This holiday's CH trip? All flying concerns for lil Yehoshua are taken care of? Sounds fun!

Yup, at least hopefully. We may leave the baby with my in-laws for the night (we'll only be there 1 day).

Just booked for 2 people:

LAX-SLC-LHR on Delta: 62.5k miles + $5.60pp: (R) and (O)

AMS-IAH-LAX on United: Plan B, paid 70k + $53.96pp: XN waitlisted for I (i.e. Plan B)

Someone elsewhere suggested I should have been charged less for the United flight, that a Business Saver Award is only 57.5k even though the cabin is all BusinessFirst?

UA has different prices for flights on UA metal and *A partners.

Both legs are on UA Metal, as far as I can tell. I booked it that way because I understood that's the only way to make a Plan B work.

*Update: Dan confirms I was overcharged.

Whoops. You're right. I guess we don't have a thread for What Revenue Itinerary Did You Just Book/Hold. Still, this revenue booking was as cheap or cheaper than using miles.

First premium cabin trip with the family:

JFK-DOH (QR A350)
DOH-JNB (QR 788)

in J X3

And for the return I needed a full day in LHR, thus:

JNB-LHR - SA J
LHR-FRA - LH J (overnight)
FRA-ORD - UA F

6k UA per person. On the return, I got UA to add it as an additional leg to my HNL-EWR reservation that I made a few months ago so didn't have to pay anything, but for the outbound it was $5.60 per person.

Well that explains why you couldn't add the WP flight to the outbound.
