I know. I was hoping it would start soon and have availability, but both are unlikely by the summer.

Yeah, they charge 25% of the fare. I'd like to buy the baby an award seat but there aren't any more available.

Haven't calculated yet. Will update.
LX: 4.787 cpp
CX: 6.375cpp
KE DPS-ICN: 9.086cpp
KE ICN-LAX: 6.417cpp
KE average: 6.838cpp

The reason for the split with KE is KE doesn't allow a stop on rev tickets. They also don't sell DPS-ICN-LAX in F since DPS-ICN doesn't have an F cabin. Therefore I took the OWs separately and calculated the cpp based on 15k DPS-ICN and 80k ICN-LAX since KE just charges an extra 15k for the DPS segment.

Overall not the best cpp values I've gotten, but it's not horrible either. If you add in the cost of the lap child though it's pretty good.

Great itinerary! What is the cpp here?

 LGA-DFW on AA in Y
DFW - SYD on QF in F (it's 17 freaking hours)
SYD - MEL on QF in J

110k AA miles + $155.40 ( I'll get 10K AA miles rebate since I have an AA cc)

Flight cost $12k

Yep, that's the third longest flight in the world. At least you're flying in F, can you imagine those people stuck in the  back of the bus?

I can't imagine. Even in first class I don't like the sound of a 17 hour flight and there's no wifi.

Meaning I can't price a rev ticket online with the first leg in J and the second in F as a multi city.

Why not book the the LAX-ZRH-TLV leg with United for 80k

Edit: I'm assuming it's the 10% for the baby on AC

I stupidly didn't hold award flight before being able to load necessary points into account. Now it's gone. Any chance it comes back down, or once it's gone, it's gone. (Delta flight in Feb to Fla).

Almost. It's because AC charges only 100CAD (~75USD) for the baby, not 10%. I could have booked with SQ for 57.5k but they wanted ~$500 in taxes and fees so that wan't a good option either.
