I booked a paid united flight from EWR to LAX and then upgraded with points to business.  The upgrade is on wait list.  However, I noticed that if I try to book the entire ticket using points, the business seat is available.   The paid ticket was booked on Sunday so its beyond the cancellation point now.   Any way to get it from wait list to confirmed?    TIA

You need R space in order to upgrade and I space in order to book with points.
Hope for a delay or schedule change so you can 'cancel' your revenue flight for free and then book with points

Also this is the wrong thread.

Hi I just booked on Flying Blue
These flights are in August:
ORD-ROM-TLV on Alitalia x 4 25k each + ~200
TLV-AMS-ORD on KLM x 4    42.5k each + ~200

I need to book 2 more, unfortunately there are no more award flights in economy. Looking at UR site they offer roundtrip for 68k using Sapphire reserve however according to a rep they don't offer roundtrip tickets with different airlines, even if they are connected (flying blue) Do you recommend HUCA or is she right?
Also, does it make sense to hold out for more award seats? I understand that now to August is an eternity in milage flight.
Thanks everybody!

Can you search for the flights using the UR travel portal?

Why did you book UA J with UA?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Why did you book UA J with UA?
Because SQ wouldn't have been able to book it. There wasn't actually open space...

CX award availability from TLV is open already, evidently. Nice.

I tried that but I couldn't make a RT fare with two airlines. The rep confirmed that as well. Will I get a different story If I HUCA? I'd like to use the portal to book ORD-ROM-TLV on Alitalia and TLV-AMS-ORD on KLM. Thanks!

Which award bucket did they book it into (in case you need date changes later)?

I'm glad HUCA worked.

but beware, while you may have the soft product Polaris, you will likely not have the hard product by then on that route.

I'm hopeful that they'll use a Polaris jet on my PS flights in december :).
