Booked as one Multi City ticket to maximize free stopover, low taxes and low infant fee.

ET is a 787-8 for the long haul and 737-8 for the short haul. Current itinerary has 9.5 hours in ADD. Hopefully a better routing will open up and we can cut that.

The only time I slept for 10 hours straight on a plane. My office chair felt like it was rocking for a week after that. Still not worth 16 hours of not being able to work.

Seems more like RTW ticket then multi city. I didnt realize they allowed that, booked on phone or online?

I had 12 hours in ADD (intentionally) place is a dump but the airline should give you a free hotel.

Airport (lounges included) are terrible

It's called a mini-RTW by most (you can get 2 free stopovers on a round trip, or 1 stopover and 1 open jaw). Regular RTW with them is 300k in J and allows 5 stopovers and 1 open jaw.

Booked online. I tried booking on the phone so I can get an extra 23 hour layover on the way home, but the phone agents were incorrectly pricing it. After multiple HUCA's I gave up and just booked online.

Did you have to pre-arrange the hotel or just when you got there? Would rather hotel to rest / work then go out to the city (after getting my passport stamped of course

)

Interesting, maybe airline don't allow you to cross the Pacific and Atlantic on a RT, otherwise it prices like a RTW.

So what zone did you book to that is 155K rt? I can't think of anywhere on the AC chart thats 77.5K OW.

Online it priced as USA to Asia 2 with a free stopover in TLV on the way home.

On the phone it kept pricing as USA to Middle East with a stopover in Asia 2 on the way there.

Probably wont take it, but I just booked:

AMM-DOH-AUH (QR F)
AUH-BOM (EY A380 F)
BOM-HKG-EWR (CX J)

110k AA + ~$150

I have enough time to leave the airport in DOH, AUH, and HKG. Alternatively, I can go AUH-JFK and skip the other legs to shorten the excursion, but that would be in a 77W (F). Similar cost.

Thanks, the issue I was getting was that UA combines my first and middle names and I was only putting my actual first name in the first name box on swissair.com.
