Was just as surprised. Actually found HEL-JFK and held. Then found TLV-HEL in Y. Called AA and theh said they saw J so was able to add it on to hold.

Now what to do in HEL for 8+ hours.

Good to know that it's possible to ask to combine. Was never able to find good option from TLV - JFK or opposite, it's always with 2 stops.
and BTW how you put on hold at AA? PUTAC or online as well?

Plenty of options using AA from TLV. RJ with connection in AMM, IB through MAD or BCN, BA/AA combination through LHR, AY through HEL. One stop on each of these routes. 40k in Y, 70k in J and 85k in F on BA/AA combo.

i think we should campaign that cardholders should have the close in fee waived as a perk. that would be huge for non elite. citi platinum. or aviator silver. how can we make some noise about that

When i called they didnt mention close in fee just taxes. Didnt book at that time. Was wondering if they would have waived it.
