Gr8 value.

AA has some good value on that side of the world.

I did MLE-DOH-JNB-CPT for 55k in J.

I wouldn't exactly call it that.

When the other option is paying cash for that flight, then you would. Business travel.

LGA-MSP-ANC-FAI-SCC-BRW-ANC-FAI-ANC-JNU-PSG-WRG-KTN-SEA-JFK... all in coach, and over 5 days. Gonna be fun ;D.

1.5 days in Homer with the bald eagles, 1 day in Barrow, 3 hours in Prudhoe Bay, 1 night in Fairbanks looking for the aurora, and the Alaska Milk Run on the way home.

It's all relative ;D

Awesome! Cost?

Not cheap, being 3 days away... Mainly booked using UR @1.25 and a TYP account @1 that needed to be liquidated, so no huge metzios. A couple of the AS legs were 7.5k vs. a few hundred bucks, so that was nice. Overall cost was just around 100k of various currencies in 6 different PNRs.

Wow, that's insane! Sounds fun though. AK is a great state, it's just a shame things are so far from each other.

Den-IAD-LIS-TLV J  on TAP (lie flat from LIS-TLV)
TLV-EWR Y on UA

Dec. 9-20 (Hannukah)

84.5k ANA and 8350 Yen (about $75)

Almost impossible for me to get 1stop in J from Denver so I was just happy to find this with lie flat all the way to Israel and wanted to let people know TAP has NO fuel fees and great availability from a number of cities. This was less points than a one-way on United!

Hopefully Ill get the zodiac seats and not the B/E aerospace shaky seats fingers crossed. Is there a way to tell which one I'm getting?
But overall I think its a great use of about to expire AA miles.
The day is short but the work aplenty
