Since when does TK have rule that you cannot book Star Alliance Award Ticket for other people on your account unless the Account Holder is one of the passengers? This is not the same rule as "online" . Hope they can change the first name of one passenger.

Half will cancel this speculative booking probably but still has got to be first time this has happened,no? Some IT guy at United getting fired.

This seems to be the only TLV flight you could pick seats, the others are not showing any seats taken which is not correct.

One ticket is in my name, second in a generic name (figured it could be for DW, but I'm single;)
Any chance I'd be able to change the name and DOB, or I may as well cancel?

Booked with UA specifically for this reason and not via TK etc.

DOB never has to match😉
Name change is needs a little dry’ing you could misspell a name up to 2 symbols off and with a middle initials you could get very far!
