Not really an award itinerary but a nice story, I changed my friends return ticket JFK-TLV to a few day earlier, and for some out reason the rep reissued them in M class which comes right after Y and B, and is eligible for a 25k Skypesos upgrade!
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

I'm enjoying this thread, gives me inspiration to do s/t fun for my visit to the US next year w/ the SO and 3 kids.

Was thinking TLV-HKG-SYD-AKL, spending a few days there, and then continuing to OGG for vacation, then LAX for a wedding, then back to the family homestead in CLE b/f heading back home to TLV. But may be too much w/ the family...

Initial plan was to do TLV-LAX-OGG in Y for 45k AA, OW, but w/ the new rule change not allowing TATL connections on HA to Hawaii, it could put a dent into the plans. And if I can fly to AKL in J for the same price as LAX in Y, it's a crying shame to fly cattle class.

though the odds of flying on it are about nil unless my Talia decides to wean herself at her first birthday like Rafi did...

Forget making it to the wedding. By the time you did all that with kids, you'd be lucky to make it to the bathroom in the morning.

:)
Don't burst my bubble.

I'm just concerned about AA doing their deval w/o any advance notice, similar to their discontinuance of the OTW redemptions.

Booked: JFK-LAX (AA F), LAX-SFO (US J), SFO-HND (JAL F) 62.5k AA x2.
On hold:HND-ICN-JFK (KE F) 80k UR/Skypass x2 +8k for infant.
I just called to put a flight on hold, they say that they can hold it for about 10 days, makes sense?

Also, I booked JFK-ICN-PVG for Aug 31 for 80K but when I wanna book PVG-ICN-JFK for Sep 5 they say that it's high season and its 120k, makes sense?

Yes and Yes
This 10 day hold is great! They waitlisted me for the ICN-JFK leg, will it clear automatically once award space opens up?

Ben just posted about the long hold times, even w/o miles in your account.
Amazing benefit.

Not something he should've featured so prominently IMHO.
Got good use out of it when booking my KE trip.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

You think that since he posted it KE might change their policy because of overuse?

Or people will start hoarding inventory for the heck of it.

Didn't book yet. Just thinking...

It seems from the VS website that you can book JFK-Asia via LHR for 180k + $1500

Does DL allow routing via Europe? If yes, it would be just 140k SkyPesos. Not bad.

Yea, was surprised to see him display a trick so prominently. I wonder what caused him to reveal it.

If something is available on VS is it automatically available to book with DL, or do they have more award space for flying club?
