How in the world did you find availability? I gave up looking and just sold em and paid cash!

Lol was abt to book biz class for 55k a seat and then saw first saver for 32.5k but I only found one seat. So I booked it  and HUCA'd til a nice rep was able to match my wife to 32.5k for first as well!

There was tons of first available just not for saver award and I didn't have enuf on my account to use for first regularly. So when I explained that my wife was gonna b in J and I would b in Z bc I tried booking it on both our accounts and only one award showed up and now I'd b going back and forth during the flight the rep was very accommodating and manually put in the 32.5k

Thanks.  I imagine if I get an award flight, it'll be a combo of TLV-europe with OneWorld and europe-ORD with Star Alliance.  I have seen some availability through Tokyo, but not looking for a 30+ hour trip with the kids...

You can technically get out and have 2 hours to actually see stuff, but there ain't much there unless your just going to eat.
What did the first leg cost? Second leg is the a380?

Finally found seats open up direct LAX-KOA, and that'll save us 11 hours of travel.
