There's always a breaking point. For me, it was enough to tell my wife that many people on DDF (plus people that we actually know personally) have done it without issue.

20k SPG transfers to 25k AS. Just saying.

After letting my original AA hold expire, I decided to check again today if the more direct routing was available and it was. New AA hold.

~24 hours in J for 75k AA per passenger. A350 and 787.
