After letting my original AA hold expire, i decided to check again today if the more direct routing was available and it was. New AA hold.

~24 hours in J for 75k AA per passenger. A350 and 787.

Nice! That's one of my options as well; well kind of, CPT-DOH-PHL-LAX, though the DOH-PHL leg isn't available yet.

A beauty.
After our conversation the other night, I am not going to let the Wife talk me out of letting this hold expire.

Haven't even looked into it yet. Is that the best option? Going to be three people, but my wife and kid can sit next to each other.

6E/F is a private 2 seats all by themselves.

Looks nice, but not sure my wife would want me to be "so far away" from them.

I dunno. To me those seats look horrid being so close to BOTH lavs.

If she wants the 3 of you to be really close to each other, maybe take the row right behind 6.  ::)

Not really so close - the lav doors are facing the front and there's a small bar between the isle and the seats which blocks the view of the lav doors.

Although I'm on a J ticket, will I be able to use First Class check-in at JFK since two-cabin flight?

Why would you? The flight's marketed as J. If you had a regional QR flight marketed as F maybe.

Even with my itinerary showing that flight as F?

Oh, the regional flight. I forgot about that one. Yeah, so why not check in in F?

That was my question. Since the regional flight is F, can I use FC check-in.

No.
Why not? They don't count regional F as real F?
