Why when I check at ba.com they show availability on QF F SYD-MEL-LAX, and when I called AA the agent said she doesn't see anything? she also claims that QF flights are bookable on aa.com...!?

Have you tried calling AA Australia? Seems that they can often see seats on partner airlines that AA America says are not there.  OTOH QF F seats are notorious for appearing as phantom availability on AA.com, especially recently, where there was a ticketing issue, even with tickets that AA agents could see.

After 4 hours on hold/phone and 6 HUCA I finally got United to book me on a flight Wednesday to TLV after my flight got cancelled from here in the midwest to Newark.

Booked with Singapore Airline miles. Any chance to get Singapore to book me on a Lufthansa flight without charging me taxes? This is what the 2nd to last United rep was trying to convince me.

 Was trying to get on a Lufthansa flight to skip flying to NY altogether.

Your original flight was EWR-TLV booked via SQ on UA? You called UA to protect on different flight, are you protected yet or not?

They put me on Wednesdays flight finally. I can't even tell you how many reps told me I needed to call Singapore. And some tried to confirm me on Lufthansa but after 45 talking to Lufthansa came back to tell me they couldn't convert the award ticket to a revenue seat.

Chances that I'll make changes on the first 5 flights are nil. I'd change the last 2 flights if a better option opens up from MEL-CNS, like the non-stop one for example.

Yes, except for when I'm talking about the products, in which case x2 means two flights. For example we'll be flying QR domestic F on two separate flights.
